George Thorogood at The Melody Tent
This concert was a blast. He and the band sure know how to put on a good show. He is by far the best performer out of all these acts I've seen. I have seen a few acts perform, such as Motley Crue, Metallica, Godsmack, and of course two times with good ol' Georgy. I really can't wait for him to return next year..if he does. I sure do hope. I love a good acoustic set just as much as a hippie loves pot. This is my second time seeing Chayanne and the Destroyers perform at the Melody Tent. But this guy wasn't all that great and put some people to sleep. Whoever opened wasn't all that exciting. Then the lights went out, the stage lights went purple and the crowd went insane as George and the band made their way to the stage. He sounds just like he does on CD, just louder and more fun. I cannot wait to see him again and I would definitely recommend anyone, whether you're a hardcore fan of him or just someone who only knows a couple of his songs. Go to the show. You will not regret it.
